FCS Girls Basketball Team Gives God the Glory at Regional Game

The Lady Patriots fought a good fight on their home court Wednesday night, Feb. 11, 2015, competing against Monseigneur Pace in the first round of Regional play. Nicole Jimenez was the lead scorer for the Patriots with 24 points, including four 3-pointers. Katherine Jim scored 8 points, Esther Prinz – 4 points (one 3-pointer) and Madison Irvine – 2 points.

With a final score of Pace 50 – FCS 41, the game was filled with much excitement, but what happened after the game is what made an impact on so many.  After the traditional handshakes at the end of the game, FCS Coach Amanda Guilfoyle felt the Lord telling her, “You praise me when you win, you praise me when you lose”.  Coach Guilfoyle had her team gather at center court and then invited the Pace Spartans to join them so the Patriots could pray for them as they advance to the next round of competition.  The players from both teams will never forget how this evening ended.

Congratulations to the Lady Patriots on a successful season!
