Mrs. Gina Trapero’s 4-K class culminated their study of Johnny Appleseed by enjoying their own apples with whipped cream. Johnny Appleseed, whose real name was John Chapman, was an American pioneer nurseryman who introduced apple trees to large parts of Pennsylvania, Ontario, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois, as well as the northern counties of present-day West Virginia in the late 1700’s and early 1800’s.
