  • Brain Bowl State Champions

  • Every year, Florida Christian participates in the annual FACCS Brain Bowl Competition in Orlando. This year FCS took three teams to the competition, which took place in the beginning of February. The teams all started strong on Thursday and gained momentum as the day continued. The C Team, consisting of seniors Michael Delgado, Nick Estevez, Alex Barros, Alex Somodevilla and Andy Vega, led the way for FCS, finishing the day at the top with 640 points pushing them into the finalist round. Team A, made up of senior Taylor-Maz Ricart and juniors Stephano Bortoletto, Carlos Bolanos, Michelle Figueroa, Elena Dossett, and Elizabeth Foley; and the B Team, made up of seniors Alex Andrade, Evan Clark, and juniors Chris Martinez, Danny Gonzalez, and Alex Diaz and sophomore Josh Padron also had great rounds and qualified for the consolation round.

  • A Costa Rica science/mission trip is planned for middle school ages and up. The dates of the trip have been changed to May 31 through June 6, 2010.
