Middle School Literary Fair

The Annual Middle School Literary Fair was held on Tuesday, April 28th. Mrs. Gladys Quinlan, 8th Grade Language Arts teacher, shared the following about the evening:

“This year’s Middle School Literary Fair was a great success!!!  We had a full house.  Author Christina Diaz Gonzalez‘s message to the students was on the importance of reading in life’s journey.  Parents and students alike enjoyed the myriad of work that was displayed and the fellowship of other parents and students.  The students were excited about the awards they received.  It truly was a night of celebrating literacy!”

Author Christina Diaz Gonzalez grew up in a small Southern town in the Florida panhandle, but she’s always been in touch with her Cuban heritage. She loves having breakfast with pan cubano and Southern style grits– the best of both worlds!  She is the author of the award-winning novels, The Red Umbrella and A Thunderous Whisper  and the action-adventure novel Moving Target.
