Choir

The FCS Choral Music Program has a strong tradition of superior performances. It provides high quality, well-rounded music education and is rooted in classical music techniques. The choral music program includes three FCS senior high classes; the Patriot Ladies Choir, Mixed Concert Chorus, and the Honors Ladies’ Ensemble. The middle school program is divided into three separate classes; 6th, 7th and 8th grade. They perform as one choir called the Jubilation Middle School Chorus. Joyful Sound is our elementary choir with students from 3rd-5th grade. Genres of music performed include: classical (both sacred & secular), jazz, multi-cultural, spirituals, musical theater, barbershop, folk, patriotic, and pop. Choral/vocal activities include; Fall Showcase at Ronald Reagan Doral Senior High, ACDA State Honor Choirs, Disney’s Candlelight Processional, Merrick Festival Caroling Competition, FCS Choral Christmas Concert, FMEA All-State, FVA Music Performance Assessment in solo, ensemble and concert categories at the district and state levels, Green Light Group Tours New York, San Francisco and Nashville, Universal Studios Stars Competition, and the FCS Chorale Spring Concert.
