Partnering to Keep Patriot Nation Safe

Florida Christian School is committed to providing a learning environment where every student feels safe, valued, and respected. We encourage students and families to report concerns involving bullying, harassment, or behavior that does not reflect the character and values we seek to uphold as a school community.

PTCF (Parent Teacher Christian Fellowship)

Our PTCF is the volunteer branch of Florida Christian School.  We encourage all FCS parents/guardians, grandparents, and family members to get "plugged in" to Patriot Nation through a wide variety of volunteer opportunities.  This is a great way to serve and participate in FCS activities, which helps to strengthen our school community, foster involvement and inclusion from all FCS families, and support our teachers.  We appreciate your willingness to support our school in such an integral way!

PTCF meetings are conducted throughout the year – for locations and times, please refer to our monthly newsletter.

For more information and questions, please email Liza.ptcf@floridachristian.org

Parent Prayer Meetings (Weekly)

Prayer is our first response, not our last. One of the greatest gifts we can give our children, teachers, and school community is to faithfully lift them up in prayer. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them."

We invite all FCS parents (and grandparents) to join us as we pray for our students, families, faculty, and the school year ahead. Whether you're a longtime prayer warrior or simply looking for a place to grow in your faith, you are welcome.

📍 Location: L-102
🕗 Time: 8:00 AM

  • Tuesdays: English Prayer Meeting
  • Thursdays: Reunión de Oración en Español

Come as you are. Let's seek the Lord together and cover Patriot Nation in prayer.

Letter from the Clinic

Flu Season Has Arrived, Patriots! How do most people know flu season is here? The leaves change colors, temperatures drop, and cozy sweaters come out of storage.

How do we know flu season is here in Miami? Honestly, we're still waiting for the seasons to change! 😄 While much of the country is enjoying a crisp fall breeze, we're enjoying the same sunshine, palm trees, and warm weather we've had all year.

Even though our weather doesn't give us many clues, flu season is officially upon us. This is a great time to remind our students and families about healthy habits that help keep our school community strong. Frequent handwashing, covering coughs and sneezes, staying hydrated, getting plenty of rest, and eating nutritious foods are all simple ways to help prevent the spread of illness.

If your child develops a fever, please keep them home and allow them time to recover. Students should remain at home until they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication. This helps protect classmates, teachers, and staff and ensures your child is ready to return to learning.

As Christians, we are called to be good stewards of the bodies God has entrusted to us and to care for one another through our actions. One way we can show Christ's love is by taking steps to keep ourselves and our community healthy.

"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit?" 1 Corinthians 6:19

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our students healthy, happy, and ready to learn. May God bless our school community with good health, joy, and His loving protection throughout this flu season.

Letter from the Mental Health Dept.

October Mental Health Moment: The Gift of Listening

World Mental Health Day is Saturday, October 10. This year’s theme, “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change,” reminds us how meaningful it can be to listen to someone who is experiencing, or has experienced, mental health challenges.

When someone shares their story, we do not need to have the perfect answer. Listening without judgment, taking their feelings seriously, and asking how we can support them can help them feel seen and less alone. James 1:19 reminds us to be “quick to listen.” We can reflect God’s love through the compassion and attention we give one another.

If you have concerns about your child’s mental health and would like to refer them to our Mental Health Department, please complete the FCS Student Mental Health Referral Form. We are here to listen and partner with your family.

Stay tuned for our very own FCS Mental Health Day in Q2!

Patriots on Mission - No Uniform Days!

At Florida Christian School, we desire to help students grow not only in knowledge, but also in compassion, generosity, and a heart for serving others. Throughout the school year, we designate one day each month as a Patriots on Mission No Uniform Day, giving students the opportunity to support missions while enjoying a dress-down day that follows the No Uniform Day guidelines outlined in the Parent-Student Handbook.

A $20 annual donation allows students to participate in all Patriots on Mission No Uniform Days throughout the school year, with all proceeds directly supporting the ministry and outreach efforts of our Patriots on Mission Program.

Haven't purchased your pass yet? Starting August 26th - Visit the Main Campus Office or West Campus Office to purchase yours.

Upcoming Patriots on Mission No Uniform Days:

  • October 23
  • November 20
  • December 11
  • January 29
  • February 26
  • March 19
